The Bachelor's Program in Cross-Border E-Commerce at Guangdong University of Science and Technology began enrollment in September 2020. In 2021, it was designated as a “Featured Program” at the university level and has since passed the bachelor's degree granting qualification assessment.
The program currently has 497 enrolled students and offers two specialization tracks:
- Cross-Border E-Commerce Platform Operations
- Cross-Border Content Marketing
In 2022, the program launched the "TikTok Global Innovation Class", aimed at cultivating talent in cross-border e-commerce live-streaming.
The faculty team consists of 20 full-time instructors, including:
- 4 with senior professional titles
- 6 PhD holders and 3 current PhD candidates
- 100% of faculty members hold a master’s degree or higher
Academic and teaching achievements include:
- 1 provincial-level “First-Class Course” titled Cross-Border E-Commerce
- Faculty serving as co-editors for 5 published textbooks
- 25 high-quality academic publications
- 2 university-level teaching achievement awards
- Over 90 research and teaching projects led by faculty members
The program emphasizes practical learning and innovation. Notable student achievements include:
- Second Prize at the 16th “Challenge Cup” Guangdong Undergraduate Academic and Technological Contest (2021)
- Second and Third Prizes in the 2022 National Undergraduate E-Commerce “Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship” Challenge (Guangdong Division)
- First Prize in the National Finals of the 13th National Undergraduate E-Commerce “Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship” Challenge (2023)
In the 2023 iResearch Alumni Association Ranking of Applied Cross-Border E-Commerce Programs in China, the program was rated as a Five-Star High-Level Applied Program, ranking #1 nationwide.
